Hype Hop: Drake – Do It All (prod. Rob Holladay)

Define Hype: to create interest in by flamboyant or dramatic methods; promote or publicize showily.

I know I know its not Namibian music but thats why I called the post Hype Hop cos its for people that create such a huge interest in the Hip Hop genre, who's to deny Drake of that tag to his name right now? Everything he spits on turns to gold. No More Thank Yous, an unofficial mixtape dropped today and I'm sure you BORN FREES will love this. Just obtained the track entitled “Do It All.”. Will drop the rest of the mixtape in the coming days :-) keep coming back to dunemusic :-).

Gettin’ stupid paid, off of smart decisions/I’m the man now, I guess that part’s a given/Someone please tell me the problem with my competition/I ask wassup, and they just always say the cost of livin’….

Tell me what ya'll think. Listening session and download link below:

Foreign Aid: Soulnana - We Go Go

With the biggest craze to hit Africa since the slave ships, the World Cup proved to show the world exactly what Africa is capable of, starting with K’naan's offical WC theme song Wavin' flag. And we had Ghana doing us proud making it all the way to the quarter finals, so its just RIGHT that we show the country some respect by putting up their talented rapper called Soulnana doing a track called "We Go Go" featuring Brother J and Kobi Onyame in the spirit of his native country for making it that far in a world cup on African soil.

Untamed Mic: Black-a-moor

This week's untamed Mic is non other than Black-a-moor, who hails from Windhoek but mastered his microphone lyricism while living in Bielefeld, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany. I had the pleasure of meeting this dude while still in his prime back in 2002 and was highly impressed by his pen-to-pad approach and selection in beats.

With the works he did with renowned underground German hip hop Producer DudaBietz, his mic skills and lyrics have him boxing his way into the local hip hop scene. He's a force to look out for. check his myspace and a mainstream track called "Back 2 U" Featuring SimZ.
